The Los Angeles Lakers might get some help from their second-leading scorer on Sunday against the New York Knicks.
Lakers coach Luke Walton said at practice Saturday there is a chance that guard D’Angelo Russell plays tomorrow. Russell has missed 11 straight games with knee soreness. The Lakers have gone 3-8 during that stretch.

Russell is averaging 16.1 points, 4.8 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game in his second season out of Ohio State. The former No. 2 overall pick has scored at least 20 points in five games this season and is shooting 37.2 percent from 3-point range.
The Lakers have struggled offensively without Russell in the lineup, averaging just 96.6 points in the last 11 games. They were previously among the top 10 in scoring.
Veteran guard Nick Young, who is averaging 13.3 points and shooting 41.4 percent from three, is also nearing a return. He is hoping to play Monday against the Sacramento Kings after missing the last seven games.
