Saturday was a record-breaking night for the UFC, and it almost was too on the television front.  Sports TV Ratings reports that the prelims for UFC 205, headlined by Frankie Edgar vs Jeremy Stephens, averaged 1.801 million viewers on Saturday night, 1.106 million of them in the coveted 18-49 year-old viewer demographic.  College football was the only other sport to top the UFC prelims on cable on Saturday, and the UFC was second only to the Mississippi State-Alabama football game in the 18-49 demographic for all shows on cable for the day.

1.801 million viewers is the promotion’s third-highest rated event since they moved to FS1, topped only by two other prelims for Conor McGregor pay-per-views – UFC 189 (1.931 million) and UFC 196 (1.863 million).
