Week 8 of college football is in the books and it was a big week for several teams including the Michigan Wolverines. They won 49-0 over arch rivals Michigan State, and as a result landed a couple of players in the Week 8 Pro Football Focus (PFF) College Football Team of the Week.
PFF’s College Team of the Week in Week 8 is led by Heisman frontrunner JJ McCarthy. McCarthy had a career day against the Spartans, throwing for 280 yards and a whopping four touchdowns.
McCarthy is joined on the team by fellow Wolverine, Mike Sainristil. Sainristil was a part of the secondary that managed to shutout Michigan State.
Other notable names on the team include Marvin Harrison Jr., who was on fire for the Ohio State Buckeyes in their win over Penn State. He had a career-high 11 grabs for 163 yards and a touchdown.
UNC’s Tez Walker, who is just a few games into the season after being ruled ineligible for the start of it also makes the team in spite of the Tar Heels being upset by UVA.
