The Cowboys released last year’s 4th round pick B.W. Webb in order to make room for Phillip Tanner – ouch! That release says Webb wasn’t going to make the final cuts, as Tanner will likely be waived after the preseason game. Webb was not good, yes he was athletic, but you need to cover and play good on the field and he did not do this. Hopefully, with Will McClay we’ll see less of these small school additions.
It was also announced that safety, Jakar Hamilton will be suspended for 4-games for violating the substance abuse policy for the second time. Hamilton could be on his way out of Dallas as well. The Cowboys brought in Jemea Thomas who has the position flex to fill in for Webb and now Hamilton.
These recent moves and incidents tell me Tyler Patmon has a spot on this roster locked up, as does Ahmad Dixon.
