This afternoon, the Miami Dolphins fired offensive coordinator Mike Sherman.
Head coach Joe Philbin, in a statement from the team said:
"I would like to thank Mike for his contributions to the Miami Dolphins," Philbin said in a statement. "Mike has been a mentor to me throughout my coaching career, dating back to 1979. He is a man of great integrity, dedicated to his family, his team, his players and his profession. On behalf of the entire Miami Dolphins organization, I want to wish Mike and his family the very best in the future."
With the firing of Mike Sherman in Miami, many questions will remain who the next offensive coordinator will be. In addition, the team may change their offensive system based on the new offensive coordinator.
Bottom line, the Dolphins will now get in line and begin the search for an offensive coordinator.
More on this to come as more information comes to light on who the Dolphins intend to interview for the offensive coordinator position.
