If there was ever a time to place a bet on a sporting event(legally of course), that you KNEW was a sure thing–today’s the day. The Dolphins have absolutely NO chance to beat the Patriots in Foxboro. Zero…nada…zilch. It’s not even gonna be close. This game will be SOOOO bad, that once the first quarter ends, you’ll will be able to check a whole lot more off your Christmas shopping list because you can spend the other 3 quarters shopping. It’ll be bittersweet tho. If you actually placed a bet, you’ll have more money to spend.
But I hope I’m wrong. I hope I’m called out on this and ridiculed over the fact that I believe it’s going to be so bad that Ryan Tannehill will get benched before the 3rd quarter is over.
Who knows? Maybe today we’ll see a “Christmas Miracle” happen. Maybe someone sprinkles magic dust on Ryan Tannehill’s shoulder and he suddenly becomes an accurate deep ball threat today. Perhaps the Ghost of Christmas Past can conjure up the Killer B’s and render Tom Brady useless…or at least mortal.
Ba Humbug! Ebenezer Belichick will make sure it’s a lopsided win. It’s doubtful he lets his foot off the throttle, further sealing poor Joe “Tiny Tim” Philbin’s fate that he’ll be fired after the season.
It’ll be a horrible game to watch, but I’ll be happy to eat crow if I’m wrong. Just send me a recipe.
