I’d like to take a moment to thank Miami Dolphins owner Steven Ross for firing – or as they say in England – SACKING – Joe Philibin. Kinda funny that the only sacks the Dolphins have this season belong to Steven Ross and DT Jordan Phillips. Looking back it should’ve been done at the end of last season, but Ross has that ever so rare heard of “loyalty” trait that seems to escape far too many employers these days.
Now mind you I’m not thanking Mr. Ross for potentially saving this train wreck season by replacing “nice guy” Joe with the more “grizzly” Dan Campbell. I’m also not thanking him for paving the way for another potential sack in Defensive Coordinator Kevin Coyle.
I’m thanking him for allowing me to continue to watch the 2015 Miami Dolphins.
You see, during that miserable loss to the Jets in London on Sunday, I made the announcement on every social media account I belong to that I would no longer watch ANY football as long as Joe Philbin was the head coach of the Miami Dolphins. I figure since I live in Florida–I can find another outdoor hobby on Sunday.
That was a huge mistake. Almost IMMEDIATELY I was given a fairly long honey-do list of chores my better half wanted done.
But thanks to my good pal Steven Ross and his convincing circle of minions, I can now watch another Miami Dolphins season circle the tank and eventually flush another year of hopes and dreams down the toilet. Oh i’ll get around to re-doing the bathroom, cleaning the garage, washing the windows, trimming all the shrubs, and power washing a day’s worth of concrete that surrounds the house, But not on Sundays. I’ll will happily continue to suffer through this miserable season of pathetic Dolphins football. Thank you Steven Ross. I think.
