Ndamukong Suh boasts that Dolphins ‘destroyed’ Panthers in camp

Start with the trendiness of knocking the Panthers in the wake of Super Bowl 50. Add Ndamukong Suh’s big mouth and the Dolphins’ tendency to look like a juggernaut during the offseason, and you have the Dolphins’ defensive tackle beating his chest about something that happened in training camp more than six months ago.

Suh said that the Dolphins defense “destroyed” the Panthers offense during joint training camp practices, according to the Miami Herald. Suh quickly added that “It matters what you do through 17 weeks during the year.” Of course that doesn’t account for playoffs. Since the Dolphins haven’t made the playoffs since 2008, it’s easy to forget in Miami that the postseason is kind of important, too.

The NFL’s highest-paid defensive player said all this at an event at the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale where the Dolphins were trying to woo season-ticket holders, amusingly called “An Evening with Ndamukong Suh.”

Suh also echoed the optimism that comes with the hiring of head coach Adam Gase, but the Dolphins have a lot of work to do to put themselves in a position where they can play for more than 17 weeks.
