Penguins Hot Streak
With the Miami Heat’s winning streak snapped at 27. In the National Hockey League the Pittsburgh Penguins continued their winning streak to 14 with a 4-0 shutout of the Winnipeg Jets.
Noteworthy from this game was the return of Evgeni Malkin, who scored a goal in the contest redirecting the puck off his skate; Pascal Dupuis added two goals as well and goalie Tomas Vokun recorded his 50th career shutout.
The Penguins acquired Jarome Iginla from the Calgary Flames. Marking the third recent acquisition during the week, also coming over was defensemen Douglas Murray from the San Jose Sharks and Brenden Morrow of the Dallas Stars.
Round of 16
March Madness has certainly lived up to its history of being unpredictable. Wichita State continues their run in the tournament as the no.9 seed out of the West by beating La Salle in likely the only game the Shockers weren’t the underdog.
For the second consecutive game no.2 seed Ohio State won with a buzzer beater this time sending Arizona packing. As for the most surprising team of the tournament the no.15 seeded the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles will take Florida and that run might just end their brilliant run.
Syracuse took out the second no.1 seed by playing excellent zone defense. Marking for the second consecutive season Jim Boeheim has taken the Orangemen to the Elite 8.

New York Yankees third basemen Alex Rodriguez who is schedule to make $29 million in 2013 will make more than the entire roster of the Houston Astros ($25 million). This from a player who is coming off surgery and might not even play.

Oscar Pistorius the Paralympic and Olympic runner who got charged with murdering his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day had his bail conditions eased. He is able to compete in track events, as long as he provides his travel itinerary a week in advance. After returning has 24 hours to bring back his travel documents.
Among other things his probation official got relieved of his duties and Pistorius can drink alcohol.

Since wrestling is no longer an Olympic sport former 1996 gold medalist Kurt Angle who now stars for TNA has been sporting a shirt that says “Save Wrestling 2020” while also promoting the hashtag “SaveWrestling2020.” There are also Facebook pages and online petitions making the rounds in attempt to save the oldest spot in the Olympic games.
