Video Games : Microsoft Announces Launch Date Of Xbox One

Microsoft has released the long-awaited date of their addition to the seventh generation of video game consoles. November 22nd ,the Xbox One will launch in 13 territories. The two largest of these would be the United States and the United Kingdom.

This date is one week later than Sony Corps PlayStation 4, which will release on November 15th. The 22nd is also one week before Black Friday in the US.

The Xbox One will launch with 23 games.

The release information was sent out through Larry Hryb, or also known by his Xbox Live name Major Nelson. Hyrb is the Director of Programming for Xbox Live.  Hyrb also tweeted that the new console is in full production.

Both Sony and Microsoft are trying to make gaming more mainstream. By adding features that let you control more than just games, this holiday season looks to be one for the consumer as both companies are trying get more to adopt their consoles.

With both dates ousted, big box retailers are laying out plans that will let gamers buy Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 now and trade them in and buy the new console versions for ten bucks.
