New England Patriots’ tight end Rob Gronkowski may make his season debut Sunday when Patriots play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. He missed every preseason game and first two games of the regular season because he was still recovering from back surgery he had this summer.
New England’s normally high-powered offense has scored a meager 36 points in it’s first two games. That’s really what we don’t expect that from a unit led by one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history, Tom Brady. It seems like Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman are the only two receivers who are on the same page with Tom Brady.
If Gronk comes back this Sunday, he will take a lot of pressure of Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins, two rookie receivers who have not played well so far.
Rob Gronkowski probably won’t be 100% healthy if he plays in Week 3, but even that Gronkowski is still one of the best tight ends in the league.
