Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles does not approve of the team’s “Color Rush” uniforms, which they’ll be wearing on Thursday night in their upcoming game against the Titans, and he’s not afraid to speak his mind about it.
“Somebody’s gotta tell the truth and I might as well be the first to say it. I think they are ugly as hell,” Bortles told reporters on Tuesday,” via a conference call. “I’m not a big fan of the mustard. I think they could’ve done a better job, and I think they should choose a different color.”
Bortles also provided a few suggestions for what he believes would’ve been better options.
“I would’ve gone with teal. Teal could pop. Also, are [the Titans] going baby blue again? So maybe those are too close. I’d like it all white. Maybe we could paint are helmet one color solidly and go all white.”
In case you haven’t seen the uniforms, here’s a preview of what you’ll be seeing on Thursday night:

The uniforms, which look like they were doused in a tub of honey mustard sauce, aren’t very appealing, so Bortles is correct in his assessment. But he should probably be focusing on more important things, like helping the (2-4) Jaguars climb out of last place in the division, or his play on the field. A 59.7 completion percentage, with nine touchdowns and nine interceptions, isn’t much better than the ugly uniforms.
