The Denver Broncos agreed to a four-year contract extension with safety Darian Stewart on Saturday.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports the deal is worth up to $30 million with a $28 million base salary and $17.5 million in guarantees.
Stewart has started every game for the Broncos this season, posting 44 tackles and three interceptions, the latter of which is a career high.
Per Mike Klis of 9News, the Broncos and Stewart started talking the Monday before Denver played New Orleans in Week 10. Stewart had two interceptions and a fumble recovery to help the Broncos beat the Saints, his best game of the season.
The Broncos now have the league’s third-highest paid secondary, according to Klis.
