Trevor Siemian missed practice for the second day in a row Thursday, according to Pro Football Talk.
That makes it more likely that rookie Paxton Lynch will make his second career start Sunday when the Broncos (7-4) visit the Jaguars (2-9).
Siemian sustained his injury during Sunday night’s overtime loss to the Chiefs. Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said that Siemian wouldn’t necessarily have to practice to play in Sunday’s game.
Lynch completed 23 of 35 passes for 223 yards with a touchdown and an interception in his only start, a 23-16 home loss to the Falcons in Week 5. He’s actually played about a game and a half because he replaced an injured Siemian in the previous game and went 14-for-24 with a touchdown in a 27-7 win at Tampa Bay.
Lynch told ESPN.com that he’s more comfortable in the offense than he was when he made his only start.
He better be, because Jaguars defensive end Malik Jackson wants to make his former team regret letting him get away in free agency.
