It’s been over a year since the fight between Matt Barnes and Derek Fisher happened, but Knicks fans clearly haven’t forgotten about it.
Fisher, who was the team’s head coach at the time of the incident, got under Barnes’ skin by being romantically involved with his estranged wife, Gloria Govan. So, Barnes drove nearly 100 miles to fight him, and that’s exactly what ended up happening. Barnes was hit with a two-game suspension as a result.
Knicks fans made sure to remind Barnes what happened during Sunday night’s game at Madison Square Garden while he was preparing to inbound the ball. The Knicks were holding on to a 104-98 lead over the visiting Kings at the time, and a “Derek Fisher” chant broke out.

This can serve as a friendly reminder to never underestimate Knicks fans—their troll game is strong.
