Could this be a precursor to the draft? If anyone watched the Senior Bowl last night, you probably weren’t impressed by the gameplay. There were a few interesting players, but overall it didn’t live up to the hype of recent Senior Bowl games. If you’re looking a QB to draw, it won’t be from the senior class, the QBs didn’t looks good to me. Graham Harrell has been a name thrown around as a possible pick for Dallas, but the way he played last night, we can probably get him as an undrafted free agent, he played that bad.
During the game I was looking at the safties, inside linebacks, and offensive lineman.
Safety, Louis Delmas (Western Michigan) had good practices leading up to the game and his play during the game was pretty good too. If he’s available I’d take him, but he may be moving up the boards, and more if he does well at the combine.
Center, Antoine Caldwell (Alabama) looked solid, and his versatility at center and guard is something the Cowboys could take a look at in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
DT, BJ Raji (Boston College) was a force up the middle, but he’ll probably be the top DT taken in the draft in the first round. We’ll miss out on him as well.
DT, Perria Jerry (Mississippi) looked good last night as well and his stock should be up after this weeks practice and game performance.
DT, Ron Brace (Boston College) doen’t get as much attention as Raji, but he’s no sloach, he has a motor, and I liked how he looked last night as well. Brace could be attainable with our 2nd or 3rd round picks.
OL, Eric Wood (Louisville) was someone that looked pretty solid last night, and he has the size, versatility, and durability the Cowboys could be looking for in the 3rd round.
Obviously there were other decent players, but these guys stood out for me, guys that the Cowboys should have interest in. I could include just about all the inside linebackers because most looked good, some more than others, but the Cowboys will surely be drafting an inside linebacker.
