Cowboys to Announce Garrett as Head Coach

Jerry Jones has completed the interview process in selecting the next Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys, and the official announcement will come via a press conference later today.

Jason Garrett will be named the Head Coach. The Cowboys are wasting no time in piecing together the rest of Garrett’s staff as well. Todd Bowles was interviewed yesterday; realistically, for the defensive coordinator gig. It’s also expected that Wade Phillip’s will poach some coaches to join his defensive staff in Houston (thankfully) In doing so, we should see some more restructuring on the defensive side of things.

Offensively speaking, there are reports that Jason Garrett could add an offensive coordinator to the staff, and concentrate on head coaching duties. One name being tossed around is Wisconsin’s offensive coordinator Paul Chryst. Rumors speculate Garrett will want to bring Chryst in as the next offensive coordinator. There is a history here between the two and the come from the same coaching tree (Norv Turner)
