There’s alot of swagger building on the defensive side of the ball, and to me, the game will be won on defense. Which team will have more success on defense? Rob Ryan has his unit playing lights out, and with alot of confidence; moreover, this is being done with several backups in the secondary.
Its clear the players have fully bought into what Coach Garrett is building in Dallas, the gameplay of 2011 version Cowboys has been solid. Gone are the days where we crumble and never recover. These Cowboys have been in some brawls early on, and this is going to build more success during a playoff run.
Garrett is huge on being prepared, and there’s no doubt he’ll have the Cowboys ready for the next battle against the Lions.
What I’ll be looking for:
Doug Free – he’s had a very mediocre start to the season, and needs to step it up, doing it this week will be a tall order, but he has to play better than he has or the whispers to move Tyron to LT will slowly swell more and more.
Phil Costa– anymore wild snaps, and he’ll be pulled, lets hope this crazy stuff has been corrected. He’ll have his hands full with Suh and Fairley.
Anthony Spencer– can he keep up his comeback player of the team status going? Spencer’s play this year has been night and day compared to the last few season’s. If we get more of the same from Spencer, Stafford will be running for his life all game. Good things.
Kevin Ogletree– I think this is going to be a pivotal game for Ogletree, if he doesn’t show more during this game, I think we’ll see a change during the game and moving forward.
Running game– it’ll be interesting to see what the gameplan is with the running game. It would be nice to get the running game going early in the game or at least a steady dose with some decent yardage, but that may be wishful thinking. I haven’t been impressed with the running game.
Rookie help– Will we finally see some more plays called for Murray in the running game or on some screen passes? Will DeWayne Harris get some playing time? I’m sure Garrett will add another fold to the offensive play calling this game, we’ll just see who will be called upon.
Keep believing, we aren’t rolling over for anyone, let’s punch these Lions in the mouth and take names.
