Cowboys Go Wild on Buffalo Bills, 44-7

The game was blacked out here in my area, but by all accounts this game was a lopsided blowout, and this is what the Cowboys needed to be doing to teams all year. Jimmy Johnson said the team that loses this game would be done, and the Cowboys showed up and destroyed the Bills in convincing fashion. DeMarco Murray has cemented himself as the starter, he can stay all the diplomatic things he wants, and Garrett can say all the same things, but no one can deny Murray is the man at running back for us, anything else would just be insane.

Looking at the stats, the Cowboys had a field day:

Romo was near perfect 23/36 for 270 yards 3 TDS 0 INTS

Bryants 6 catches 74 yrds, 1 TD

Robinson had 2 TDs

Murray 2o attempts 135 yrds, 1 TD … 6 catches 36 yards

Ware added to his sack total by getting another sack today

AND

Jason Witten surpassed the great Ozzie Newsome to move into 3rd place all-time amongst tight ends. Witten will now be chasing down Shannon Sharpe (815) and Tony Gonzalez (1104+ still playing)

The Cowboys now move to 5-4.

NFC East Update

Giants 6-3, lost to 49ers 27-20. Upcoming: Eagles, @Saints, Packers

Cowboys 5-4, defeated Bills 44-7. Upcoming: @Redskins, Dophins, @Cardinals

Eagles 3-6, lost to Cardinals 21-17. Upcoming: @Giants, Patriots, @Seahawks

Redskins 3-6, lost to Miami 20-9. Upcoming: Cowboys, @Seahawks, Giants

These next three weeks should make the NFC East picture a little more clear. We have a shot at going 3-0 on this stretch, while the rest of the rivals will have their hands full. The Redskins and Eagles are reeling after today, and will most likely be playing the roles of spoilers down the stretch, so we need to watchout for that towards the end of the season.
