Signed, sealed, and delivered. The Cowboys have not had such a high profile re-signing of an elite player of Dez Bryant’s magnitude in a very long time. I’m talking about an elite player that had the potential to holdout and derail the team’s chances of success this year. Emmitt Smith’s 1993 holdout could be seen as the equivalent in regards to impact of the team’s wins and losses without the player.
With rumored threats of Dez missing games and even his tweet suggesting he would not show up for camp and possibly beyond, the Cowboys and his agents were able to come to a new contract that will make Dez a Cowboy for life.
The contract is 5-yr deal worth $70 million with $45 guaranteed.
Final Dez Bryant numbers: 5 years, $70M, $45M guaranteed. Simply, wow.

Dez will be 27 this November, so the contract will take him to 32 by the time he finishes it out. The length of the contract is very smart.
The Cowboys can now head to camp with all their pieces in line and ready to rock and roll for the 2015 season.
Let’s go Dallas!
