The Cowboys traveled to Philadelphia without Dez Bryant and they travel back home with Tony Romo out for a pretty good junk of the season with a fractured clavicle. The Cowboys defeated the Eagles 20-10.
I had a gut feeling Sean Lee would have a great game earlier, he played like a maniac today. Lee had 14 tackles and a key INT. He has returned to his form and this Cowboys defense has fully and officially transformed into a legit 4-3 defense. It took a few seasons to transition from the 3-4 to the 4-3, but Dallas has settled in completely this year.
Gonna say this now, but Sean Lee is gonna have a signature defensive game today. Gut feeling. #CowboysNation #DallasCowboys #DALvsPHI

Here are my takes on the game:
— The defense is going to be the strength of this 2015 version of the Cowboys and we don’t even have Greg Hardy or Randy Gregory. Can you imagine how we’ll look when they all return?
— Sean Lee is back, and he looks like his Pro Bowl self out there making plays sideline-to-sideline.
— The offensive line misses Bill Callahan. I wondered how they would transition and we are seeing the answer for two straight weeks. The past two games the offensive line has been killing drives with a lot of penalties. We need to clean that up more than ever especially with Tony Romo missig time due to injury
— Coach Garrett’s mantra lives and breathes in these players! Are you kidding me, we won on the road as underdogs without Dez Bryant and with Tony Romo out of the games. There’s no quit in this team.
— Morris Claiborne and Brandon Carr are benefiting the most from the swarming defensive line and the return of Sean Lee to lead them has helped immensely. To their credit, they are making plays and covering their guys. The Eagles offense is designed to pressure the secondary, and our guys passed the test with flying colors, a major boost to their confidence moving forward.
— Re-signing Rod Marinelli was masterful and major kudos to the Cowboys braintrust in locking down Marinelli for a few more years.
— Terrance Williams had some clutch plays in this game. I felt we needed at least two big splash plays from Williams and he did so.
— Tony Romo’s injury will be a challenging time. Weeden did ok in clean up duty, but he’ll need to manage the game until Romo returns. Our resurgent defense will be a major help for the Cowboys without Romo.
— I predicted the Eagles could go into a tailspin if we came in here are beat them and I think the whispers of Chip Kelly staying in Philly longterm will come into question by their fan base.
— Shutting down DeMarco Murray was a beautiful sight, Philly has a bad offensive line.
