Cowboys Lose 5th Straight Game; Drop to 2-5

There’s not much to say until Tony Romo gets back. We know what the offense is going to do, and it’s nothing good. As expected, Dez Bryant didn’t provide much of a bump for the offense. I understand he’s still getting into game action shape, but this team’s season looks dead in the water right now.

The offense is predictable because of the QB position, and I’m talking about the backups. One is just flat bad, and one doesn’t have an arm to get the ball downfield. The Cowboys will have two offseason priorities this offseason: QB and RB.

The organization has failed fans by not getting Romo’s heir apparent and here we are shuffling lower-tier backups hoping for miracles at the end of these games. It sucks watching this team play right now. Too many mistakes at the most inopportune times, no offense, no dynamic receivers besides Dez, an inconsistent defense, all of which reflect why we are 2-5 with no wins in sight.

We really don’t need to project anymore games while Romo is out, because we aren’t good enough in any phase of the game to win and we won’t win. No sense it getting so upset to the point of getting a headache or ruining your Sunday. We’ll be 2-7 by the time Romo returns. On top of that, we still have some extremely difficult games to close the season.

6-10 is a real possibility, that’s the type of football we’ve been putting on tape. We’re killing ourselves in these games, we need to play perfect ball while Romo remains out of the lineup — that hasn’t happened — we’ve been teased in heartbreaking fashion for 5 straight weeks now.

We’re 2-5 and dead last in the NFC East.
