Last year’s most controversial draft pick brought a whole bunch of opinions when we drafted Randy Gregory. The biggest worry was his well documented history with substance abuse. Well, he’s at it again, and has now been suspended by the league for the first four games of the 2016 season. This is very disappointing and another potential draft misfire by the Cowboys.
Gregory was small in frame, and battled to get his weight up and we saw him getting mauled more often than not. Obviously, this is very early in his career, but this is not the right way to start your career. The Cowboys cannot go into another consecutive season with their “pass rushers” suspended and sitting on the sidelines again!
The Cowboys will need to bring in some more reliable guys that can get to the QB. Former Ram, Chris Long is on the street now and could provide the Cowboys with a nice rotational pass rush and you know he won’t screw up. We’re going to need to throw more bodies at the DE until we find the right mix, we don’t have it right now.
Ian Rapoport explains Gregory failed 4 drug test in recent months, which is why he is now suspended:
Per @NFL drug policy, Randy Gregory failed 4 tests. 1st at combine — in the program. Then 2-gm fine, then 4-gm fine, then 4-gm suspension

What’s your thoughts? Too soon to judge the 2nd round draft pick or is this a bust? Should we have drafted a RB or someone else? Sound off in the comments.
