Eagles receiver Dorial Green-Beckham was fined $6K for wearing his “Yeezy” cleats by the NFL on Friday, and frankly, it should’ve been more.
DGB thought he was being funny by wearing the cleats for the “Yeezy Foundation” during the #MyCleatsMyCause initiative, but making up a fake charity when players are trying to raise awareness for serious issues is no laughing matter.
Here’s what the cleats looked like:

Hopefully Green-Beckham learned his lesson. It would’ve been nice to see a larger fine, as players have been fined more for end-zone celebrations and harmless things of that nature. But this story has received a lot of traction and reactions on social media, so maybe that’ll help send a message.
Dorial Green-Beckham was fined $6,076 for wearing unapproved cleats last week. He wore Kanye West cleats with no charity connection.

This incident shows that DGB still has some growing up to do, which is one of the reasons the Titans traded him to the Eagles back in August.
