The Los Angeles Rams received some good news when it comes to the health of one of their young cornerbacks. After missing the entire 2015 season with a foot injury, E.J. Gaines is finally prepared to make his comeback on Saturday.

Gaines looked great during his rookie season in 2014, and as Myles Simmons of the team’s official website reports, the former sixth-round pick has been getting some work with the first-team defense as well.
Gaines had already made his return to practice a week prior, but now it seems that nothing will hold him back after missing the entirety of the 2015 season with a Linsfranc foot injury. The 24-year-old figures to start at cornerback in only his second active year in the league after 15 appearances in 2014.
After missing all of last season because of a foot injury, he is eager to get back onto the field during a game.
“It will definitely be a big step for me in my rehab process, getting out there and getting live reps and hitting people,” he said of Saturday’s exhibition. “It’s been a full year.”
