According to Adam Schefter: Former Broncos CB Kayvon Webster is signing with LA Rams, per source.

Webster, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Broncos back in 2013. He has played out his four- year, $2,745,800 contract and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career.

In 2016, Webster appeared in 13 games for the Broncos and recorded eight tackles, a pass defense and no interceptions while being a large contributor on special teams.

Kayvon Webster is someone who could play opposite Trumaine Johnson, assuming Johnson remains with the team or he could even play in his stead while the Rams figure out their secondary situation in the later rounds of the draft.

Webster has a decent pedigree having played for Wade Phillips in Denver which obviously means he also has a ring and thus could bring valuable experience with him despite only being 26.

His familiarity with Wade’s system will be a valuable asset and his value would likely have been higher had he not had to play behind Aquib Talib and Chris Harris who are two of the best players at their position. Despite being 5’11,

Webster has proven to be a good tackler accumulating 64 of them thus far. The drawback to signing him would be durability as he missed considerable time the last two seasons.

Still, Webster is the best corner they can hope to attain and if the injury issues were more of a fluke than the Rams should get a solid cornerstone for their new and improved defense.
