NFL Mock Draft: Los Angeles Rams trade for No. 12 overall pick

Sometimes, ESPN writers like to have some fun with their NFL Mock Drafts, and writer Bill Barnwell did just that. It seems highly unlikely, of course, but what if the Los Angeles Rams decide to trade back into the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft?

ESPN writer Barnwell thinks Los Angeles could get the pick from Cleveland for its second-round pick and its 2018 first-round pick. Cleveland got the No. 12 when they traded down with the Eagles, who landed Carson Wentz last season.

The following statement below, is what Barnwell has to say about the possible trade situation between the Rams and the Browns. (via ESPN):

I love these sort of challenge trades, although most teams aren’t willing to pull them off. The Rams are in rough shape after their seemingly ill-fated move to trade up and grab Jared Goff last year, a decision that will hand the fifth and 100th picks in this year’s draft to Tennessee. The Rams can be patient and eat their vegetables before returning to the first day of the draft next year, or they can rush back into the room and hope to turn things around.

Players available with the No. 12 overall pick: Tight end O.J. Howard, Wide receiver John Ross and Offensive lineman Forrest Lamp.

The Los Angeles Rams met with OJ Howard in which he replied he got a good vide from the team when they met during the offseason.

Like the idea Rams fans?
