Well it cannot get much worse for our Boston Red Sox. After being absolutely dominated yesterday in a double header vs. the Angles, It is time we start looking for different options. The Red Sox extended their losing streak to 5 games. The last game they won was vs. the Yankees on July 11th.

The Red Sox went 21 innings without scoring a single run. That’s two complete games and three innings. In the first game yesterday Eduardo Rodriguez played his worse game so far for the Red Sox as he only went 1.2 innings giving up 6 hits, 2 home runs, 3 walks, and 7 runs. From there it was just the snowball effect and the Sox would lose 11-1.

In the Second game of the day Steven Wright got the start. He lasted a total of 5 innings giving up 6 hits, 2 home runs, and 6 runs. The moral of yesterday was Red Sox pitching was hit very hard. They would go on to lose the second game 7-3.

The only thing to look forward to now is the trade deadline which is ten days away on July 31st. There is really no way they can save this season no matter how much we do at the deadline. You got to start preparing for next year and the future of the organization. It really all starts with pitching we need a reliable ace pitcher. Then from there hopefully we can get our team back on track. But as of right now I don’t think anyone is happy with a 42-51 record.
