After tough negotiations, the Celtics have signed their 2nd round pick Jordan Mickey out of LSU. The 6’8 PF had a fantastic summer league averaging 12-13 points a game while grabbing 8-9 rebounds. Mickey and the Celtics couldn’t agree on a rookie contract which would be approximately 4 years which is a usual rookie contract. Now both sides agreed on a 4 year 5 million dollar deal which gives Mickey about a million a year. Mickey led the NCAA in blocks per game at about 3.64 and is ready to translate his skills to the next level.
