It was a down to the wire game in Chestnut Hill,Mass but Boston College held on to fend off the eager Northern Illinios Huskies 17-14. QB Troy Flutie didn’t utilize the pass game too much but used the running game to their full advantage. Flutie went 5/11 92 yards and a touchdown but relied on RB Jon Hilliman to guide the Eagles. Hilliman had an excellent game carrying the ball 24 times with 119 yards on the ground and had a score.
Northern Illinios answered back with a kickoff return by Aregeros Turner cut the lead of Boston College to three. The Huskies kept trying to cut the three point lead to a tie but ultimately, Boston College was too aggressive and they got the win at home.
