After a tough loss against the Orlando Magic a day earlier, the Celtics pulled through and handed the Miami Heat a 105-95 defeat.
Avery Bradley scored 25 for the C’s as they went on to defeat Wade and the Heat. All five of the starters for the C’s scored in double digits (Bradley-25, Sullinger-17, A.Johnson- 13, Thomas-16, Crowder-13). A guy who really stepped up for the C’s was Amir Johnson. As Sullinger usually takes down the majority of rebounds, Johnson had his fair share along with points. A 13 point 10 rebound performance for Johnson was exactly what he needed to earn him in my opinion one of the players of the game. I know Bradley dropped 25 points and is shooting lights out and is the player of the game for the C’s but Johnson had the hook shots going for him and drawing fouls against Whiteside and the Heat ultimately cost Hassan Whiteside’s performance.
Whiteside is one of the most athletic centers in the NBA and has had some unbelievable games in his young career. That wasn’t the case last night. Whiteside had 3 fouls early but couldn’t find a rhythm to his game last night. Although Hassan did grab 8 boards and scored 6 points, it was not what he is used to doing. Dwayne Wade dropped a game high 30 points and took the team under his wing. Chris Bosh also carried the team with Wade as they were the two Heat players that scored over 10 points last night. A 21 point 10 rebound performance for the Boshasaurus was an impressive double double. Bosh posted up in the paint and took plenty of outside shots.
The next game for the C’s is in Mexico City against the Sacramento Kings and Rajon Rondo 11/3/15.
