Secondary Market NBA Global Games Tickets Cheaper In Mexico City Than London

The third-ever NBA regular season game played in Mexico will take place in December 3rd of this year at Mexico City Arena as part this year’s NBA Global Games schedule. The Boston Celtics will host the Sacramento Kings in the 22nd overall game (preseason included) NBA contest played in Mexico.

The Celtics have already participated in the 2015 NBA Global Games, as they had an exhibition against Olimpia Milano in Milan, Italy on October 6th and played Real Madrid in Madrid, Spain two days later on October 8th. There were two other preseason exhibitions played in Shenzhen, China and Shanghai, China between the Charlotte Hornets and Los Angeles Clippers. The Orlando Magic played Flamengo in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on October 17th as well. The final scheduled game in the 2015 NBA Global Games is on January 14th, 2016 between the Orlando Magic and Toronto Raptors in London.

On the secondary market, tickets to the NBA Global Games regular season contest between the Celtics and Kings start at $39.93 according to international ticket reseller Ticketbis.com. The game in Mexico City is considerably cheaper than the final game in London between the Magic and Raptors in January of next year, as the cheapest tickets are currently yielding a price of $237.29.

Mexico has held more NBA events outside of the United States than any other country. This Global Game will be the first time the Kings are visiting Mexico. Mexico City Arena can hold 22,300 spectators and expect every seat in the arena to be filled.

The Boston Celtics are currently 2-3 through the first five games of the season as they’re dealing with some injuries, including one to starting guard Marcus Smart. The Sacramento Kings have been playing without star center DeMarcus Cousins and it has resulted in losing basketball, going 1-6 through their first seven games. Cousins should be expected back shortly however, and will be expected to play in the December 3rd contest unless any other injuries occur.

During the preseason, the Celtics won their two games against European competition. They defeated Olimpia Milano by a final score of 124-91 and took down Real Madrid by five points, 111-96.
