Say what you want about the NBA Draft Lottery process personally I think there is something that goes on in that room where you are not allowed to have your phone, but that’s just me. But I will say I am very happy the Celtics will be selecting 3rd overall in this year’s draft.
The Draft is set for June 23rd and the Celtics will be picking behind 76ers and the Lakers.
I would say Isaiah Thomas brought some good luck to the Celtics tonight as he was the on stage team representative. Brian Scalabrine said it perfectly “It’s not a great night, it’s not a bad night, its somewhere in between.”
At least this result is much better than the 2007 Draft Lottery where we were all disappointed when we ended up with the 5th overall pick.
So what will the Celtics do with the pick, trade it? Danny Ainge said he is “expecting some phone calls” regarding the pick. So only time tell what we will do before the June 23rd Draft.
