The Celtics came away with another victory last night against the Washington Wizard, but the most interesting events took place after the game at the TD Garden.
Celtics superstar Isaiah Thomas finished the game with a game high 38 points and 5 assists and had some celebrity fans sitting courtside. After the final buzzer, he went over and gave his jersey to the boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. He is one of the only people on the court that actually measures up to Isaiah. That wasn’t the only postgame happening last night at the TD Garden. After one three pointer, Isaiah went over and high-fived his front row friend.
After the game, when most teams are shaking hands and exchanging hugs, Jae Crowder and John Wall got a little too close. Most of the game was filled with trash talking and physical play, and that flooded into the postgame as well. Crowder was seen putting a finger in Wall’s face, after which Wall took a swipe at Crowder. Coaches and players then got involved and had to separate the two players. Even Isaiah Thomas got in the mix, having to pull away from a post game interview to protect his fellow teammate.

According to Chris Forsberg, a writer for ESPN, five Boston police officers had to stand between the two locker rooms to keep the confrontation to a minimum. Wizards guard, Otto Porter Jr., accused the Celtics of playing dirty as well. (Via CSN Mid-Atlantic)
“They’re a physical team. They try to play dirty. They try to take you out of your game.”
While the C’s do have plenty of physical players, they are hardly a dirty team.
With Mayweather in the C’s corner, they cruised to another win. This win has the Celtics in sole possession of third place in the East. They look to continue their winning ways against Atlanta tomorrow night.
