Day nine of Patriots training camp has come and gone and it was a far from ideal conditions for a practice. It was truly a rainy sloppy day at the practice fields as the Patriots mostly practiced lots of situational works and they did not pass the ball very much at all.
Matthew Slater was the only player absent from camp today as Nate Solder, Rex Burkhead, Malcolm Mitchell, James O’Shaughnessy, Mike Gillislee, Cody Hollister, and David Jones all were present but did not participate.
There will also be no need to fear as Joe Thuney was back in action today after being injured and missing half of practice the other day, Thuny fully participated in the practice. It was also good to see Amendola back on the field today as after the practice he said his body feels as good as it has in a long time, and that he is ready to go.
It was a run first throw latter kind of practice as not many passes were thrown in competitive drills. Brady finished the day 8 of 13, well Garoppolo continues to struggle throwing 9 of 12 with an interception thrown to Ebner. Brissett had the least amount of throws today throwing 2 of 4.
The Patriots will have tomorrow off as Jacksonville comes to town for some joint practices starting Monday before their first preseason game on Thursday night.
