It’s no secret that the 49ers are looking to add playmakers on offense, so now that Antonio Brown is attempting to make himself available for trade, San Francisco figures to be right in the mix.
Remember, the 49ers were reportedly interested in trading for Le’Veon Bell, although nothing ever transpired. But it’s clear that they’re looking for a gamechanging playmaker on offense.
Enter Brown.
He’s had his issues with Ben Roethlisberger in recent weeks, and he’s now formally requested to be traded.
Antonio Brown has requested a trade. Im told it was not a demand but he has asked to be dealt. Very unlikely Rooney would capitulate. Brown has issues with Mike Tomlin and Ben Roethlisberger. Feels like the coach is too aligned with the QB.

My understanding of the situation surrounding #Steelers WR Antonio Brown: As he exited the field in frustration on Wednesday, he yelled, "I’m done!" Then wondered why they don’t trade him. More venting in anger than anything. He has not made any actual trade request, officially.

49ers tight end George Kittle shouted him out in an apparent attempt to recruit him.

Another potential option for the 49ers is Odell Beckham Jr., as Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk noted.
If the Giants decide to move on from receiver Odell Beckham Jr., the 49ers could pursue him.
The 49ers considered it during that window last year when Beckham seemed to be available, and there’s already buzz this year that, if he’s available, the 49ers would be interested.
It’s certainly looking like the team will make a move for a big-play receiver during the offseason, given their cap space, and where the team is at. Who it ends up being remains to be seen.
