Paul George may have been born and raised in the Los Angeles area, but he didn’t receive a warm welcome from Lakers fans at Staples Center during Wednesday’s game. In fact, quite the opposite happened.
George never even met with the Lakers when he became a free agent over the summer, and instead elected to re-sign with the Thunder. Lakers fans apparently have not forgotten about it, as George was booed loudly before and during the game.
The boos began when George’s name was called during player introductions.

They continued when the game tipped off, and began when George touched the ball for the first time.
Paul George booed on his first touch as well. Sounds like it’ll be an every time thing.

George may have grown up in LA, but he sure doesn’t appear to be viewed highly by Lakers fans — at least not at the present time.
