One of the first players to announce he was invited and will be accepting his invitation to the 2012 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Tyler announced via his twitter (@M_Tyler26) “Just got that NFL Combine invite…#blessed”.
Tyler is currently ranked as a Top 15 senior running back by Optimum Scouting and a likely late round pick or a solid undrafted free agent. He has a great build for a running back at 5’11, around 230, and if he can run well at the NFL Combine while keeping that size and not looking sloppy, there is no reason he can emerge in a very mediocre senior running back class.
Tyler’s senior season started out with a suspension for some inappropriate comments to the media for the opening game against Minnesota. He rushed for 568 yards and 4 touchdowns his senior season, down from a near 1,000 yard and 9 TD season as a junior.
