Rishaw Johnson, an offensive guard from California (PA) has confirmed to Optimum Scouting’s Damond Talbot (@drocksthaparty) that he has received his invitation to the NFL Combine.
Johnson (6’4, 310 lbs) started several games at Ole Miss before he has dismissed from the program for a violation of team rules. Johnson then transferred to California (PA) to play his senior season. Johnson helped anchor the line for an offense that averaged 31.2 points per game, and rushed for almost 140 yards per game.
Teams will obviously have some concerns regarding his dismissal from Ole Miss, but Johnson avoided trouble while at California (PA) and that should help to ease scout’s worries. Johnson is Optimum Scouting’s fifth ranked senior offensive guard, and would be a solid pick anywhere from the third to fifth round in April’s draft.
