Miami Dolphins 2016 Mock Draft

Miami Dolphins 2016 mock drafts are all over Twitter, so I thought I would make one of my own. This is what I think I will happen, not necessarily what I would do. Enjoy:

Rd 1 – Shaq Lawson
Rd 2 – Xavien Howard
Rd 3 – Deion Jones
Rd 4 – Nick Vigil
Rd 5 – Thomas Duarte
Rd 6 – Joe Thuney
Rd 7 – Antonio Morrison
Rd 7 – Deon Bush

I based my projections off of several mocks on line as far as player availability. No trades projected, though I would like to move down if the draft broke this way.

In round 1, I had Hargeaves, Floyd, Elliott & Stanley off the board. Decided to go with the DE vs the next batch of CBs. Lawson, while not flashy, is a solid player at a need position. In round 2, I already had Artie Burns taken so I decided to go with the next size/speed combo at CB. Deion Jones in round 3 could be a terrific WLB, though not very big. I like Vigil and think he would be a starting MLB for this team by year 2. Duarte could be a nice receiving TE for Gase. Thuney is a good guy to develop at G. Morrison is one of my favorites. A steal if healthy, which is a big IF. Bush is another guy who may be a better pro than college player, typical of recent U of M draftees.
