Houston Texans
Traded for WR Demaryius Thomas in exchange for 2019 4th Rd Pick, 2019 7th Rd Pick Swap
The Houston Texans were the newest team to get into the market for a wide receiver over the last week. They were doing just fine in that department with DeAndre Hopkins doing his usual, and Will Fuller starting to see a significant increase in his stock. Unfortunately, Fuller’s stock took a hit.
A season-ending injury for Fuller made the Texans immediately get on the phone and start making calls before the deadline. As they are on a hot streak, they need to make sure they are fully locked and loaded for the second half of the season. So, why not bring on an experienced Super Bowl-winning wide receiver like Demaryius Thomas?
Sure, Thomas is on the decline at this point in his career, but 36 catches for 402 yards, and three touchdowns isn’t bad for a guy who will be on the opposite side of Hopkins. With Hopkins attracting most of the attention, Thomas will just have to go out there and play his game, without worrying about whether his team wants him or not. The Texans wanted him, so now he can show them that he was worth it.
