Baltimore Ravens

Traded for WR/RB Ty Montgomery in exchange for 2020 7th Rd Pick

The Baltimore Ravens made a low-risk trade for a guy who was most likely going to get cut at some point anyway. After Ty Montogomery’s game-changing mistake from last week, he was dealing with nothing but issues within the Green Bay locker room, and from the media.

I’m not sure what the chances of the Packers dealing Montgomery would’ve been before the mistake last Sunday, but you can’t really fault both parties here. The Ravens still have no identity at running back, considering they don’t seem to think too highly of Alex Collins. And the Packers barely used Montgomery already as it is.

The Ravens gave up a draft pick that would probably result in a practice squad player, or a released rookie anyway so why not just try something new out while you can? This wasn’t a blockbuster deal, but both teams got what they wanted for almost nothing.
