Look, its this simple: the guy (Albert Pujols) is an absolute machine. He might make his way back into the St Louis Cardinal’s lineup TONIGHT! A mere two weeks since he BROKE his wrist. They expected him to be out for 6 weeks but after just two, he says he’s ready to go. Holy shit! I couldn’t believe it when I heard the news. When asked, Reds manager Dusty Baker said he wasn’t surprised “That’s Albert.” Pujols will be evaluated later this morning and likely cleared for at least a rehab game or two because he says he’s ready (been hitting for a week now). I just don’t get how he’s doing all this so soon after a wrist injury. People don’t come back this quickly, he must be a machine.
Side note: There’s a pretty entertaining campaign spreading on twitter to try to get Willy Mo Pena in the home run derby. I think it’d be awesome! He’s got 8 hits this year and 5 homers
