There was a time when Capitals star Alexander Ovechkin was a pure scorer, and a solid setup man, but not all that much else. Ovi has since worked hard on becoming a more physical player over the years, and he now can really lower the boom when he wants to.
He showed how physical he can be during Thursday’s Eastern Conference showdown with the Bruins at TD Garden, when he threw veteran defenseman Zdeno Chara into the Capitals’ bench.

Ovi got it done on offense as well, scoring two goals in the 4-2 win. One of them was this wrist shot which he ripped into the net.
