Amari Cooper TD lifts Raiders to victory over Texans (VIDEO)

San Diego Chargers v Oakland Raiders

Oakland Raiders receiver Amari Cooper was held quiet throughout Monday night’s game against the Texans—with three catches for 22 yards—but he came alive in the fourth quarter when the team needed it most.

It’s important to note that Cooper was banged up heading into the game, and was questionable until the day of the Mexico City matchup. But he played through it, and came up big in crunch time.

With the game tied 20-20, and the Raiders driving, faced with a first-and-10 situation, everyone was expecting Oakland to back to the ground game to eat some clock. That wasn’t the case, though. They dialed up a quick screen to get Cooper in space, and he did the rest. Cooper got a great block and then stopped to change direction, which juked linebacker Benardrick McKinney so bad he fell down.

Cooper was then off to the races, and the end result was a 35-yard touchdown.

That score proved to be the game-winner in the Raiders’ 27-20 win.
