Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers is known for his fiery disposition on the field, as he has no problem airing his thoughts with his opponents, as well as the officials.
So when the Chargers’ first big play of the game was called back due to a bogus penalty in the first half of Saturday’s AFC showdown with the Ravens, he let them know about it.
The Chargers were outgained 162-14 in yards at the time, but Rivers appeared to get them back in the right direction with a 25+ yard strike to Keenan Allen. Unfortunately, the play was called back for offensive pass interference, which looked to be an awful call, as both players were battling for position with their hands. The Chargers were faced with third-and-14, and Rivers made another great throw to move the chains, but that, too, was called back for a questionable illegal shift penalty.
Rivers was furious about it on the sideline afterward, after the Chargers were forced to punt, as you can see in the video clip below.
