Watch at your own Peril
If there is one thing you must really love about the stogies, is their hypcircy, they never fail to say the exact points that make Boise’s States case while trying to give reason of why others should be ahead of them.
It did seem to this viewer last night they did try to use the old adage if you don’t have anything nice to say, say nothing at all, but you could tell by their body language they want too.
Also don’t you just love how they pleaded with the voters out there to see things their way as if they are the chosen elite that know what’s best for college football? I found the Stogies elitist front laughable. The absolute begging by the stogies of the voters if Armageddon happens not to put Boise in the MNCG outrageous, then to go on and say they were going to put in place direction for the voters because you know the voters get no direction hahahaha, I wonder if they have any idea how insulting they were being towards those that have a vote? As if those who were given the privilege of voting on this are completely clueless and like democrat congressmen must vote the party line!
Hey stogies get a clue other than armchair couch potato American’sno one and I mean no one thinks you guys are anything special nor much of your opinions.
Some Quotes from a SEC homer New Paper.
I mean, why would I want to watch Nick Saban get completely outcoached by Les Miles again?
I’d challenge all my dedicated daily readers to a caption contest but I fear many of you are to fearful to show your selves publically! Regardless I would like to take this time to thank you for your visits as we start our 4th month on the web your visit have vaulted us to heights we just didn’t think possible this early so thank you even you Kevan!
TCU eager for Boise State challenge
“This is what you play for; this is why you coach,” Patterson said after Sunday’s practice inside the Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility. “You always want to put what you do up against the very best.”
“It’s basically the same team that came within an eyelash of playing for the National Championship or going to the Rose Bowl instead of us a year ago,” said Patterson, who isn’t concerned about the BCS standings. “We have three games to win. If you win three then [I’ll care], but right now we have to take care of our business.”
Yet just a week ago Patterson said this?
TCU’s MWC title road goes through Wyoming
Take Monday, his players’ lone day off. Patterson sent out a mass text to his team reminding them that the road to a Mountain West Conference championship begins at War Memorial Stadium against Wyoming at 2 p.m. EDT on Saturday.
“This is where championship week starts,” the text read. “We can’t get to a conference championship without getting through Wyoming.”
You don’t have to be a genius to see the subtext in his message: Forget about the showdown at Boise State on Nov. 12.
I don’t know if one could make some baord marterail out of that for Boise State players or not, I do think Coach Patterson does a great job of managing his players and where their head is at at any given time I also respect TCU’s program and players just taking some of these quotes from their game in Wyoming shows the team has it’s head on right.
“We’ve been taking it a week at a time and now it’s here. We have a week to prepare for Boise. Boise has a great program and they’ve got a great thing going for them this year, and we’re going to do our best to go in there and see what we can do.”
— TCU linebacker Tank Carder
“You didn’t see me arguing it. It’s not my business, it’s theirs. They called a game to protect everybody and I thought they did a good job. I thought all three of them [were correct calls].”
— TCU coach Gary Patterson on three ‘above the shoulder’ personal foul penalties (two against TCU) called by officials at Wyoming.
It’s going to be a great game but I think for all the concern the MSM has over Boise States ability to make it to the MNCG it’s going to be over looked and passed over. Make no mistake this game is going to make the SEC’s game of the century look pathedic! And even though true there will be very little said about it after it’s over when Boise State win’s, however God forbid we lose it will be the talk of the town and color will return to the faces of the stogies as they will finally be able to take a breath.
Dedicated Boise State fans go the distance to show their support
Bronco Nation, the ever-expanding group of Boise State football fans willing to support their team wherever it goes, loves a good party.
Even before the team started playing in Fiesta Bowls and scheduling made-for-TV season openers on the East Coast, the first inhabitants of Bronco Nation always flocked to Reno and Las Vegas for a mix of games and gaming.
But there is something even better than the roar of the game and the thrill of the party for the orange-and-blue dressed denizens on the road – the ability to turn a road stadium into a virtual home game.
“It’s a great feeling being at an away game and the opposing team’s fans leave and they’re completely depressed and all the Boise State fans stay until the end,” said Boise State fan Jeff Minert of Meridian, who makes multiple trips each season.
The Broncos often reward their fans’ loyalty by winning. And the players and coaches give back by taking a lap around the stadium, slapping hands with the fans. After the Toledo game, coach Chris Petersen signed autographs and chatted with the small band of Boise State faithful.
“We’re so thankful that they’re there,” wide receiver Chris Potter said. “Whenever they do stick around, we want to make sure that we go love them up and thank them. I think the more we can do that, the more they’ll want to keep supporting us.” Before Boise State’s first Fiesta Bowl appearance after the 2006 regular season, there were questions about how well the Broncos would travel. Bronco Nation answered those (and then some) by turning out en masse for the game against Oklahoma.
Since then, the Boise State faithful have solidified their reputation as a travel-happy bunch with games against Georgia, Virginia Tech and a second Fiesta Bowl appearance.
“There’s definitely more interest in going on the road,” said Anita Guerricabeitia, Boise State’s assistant athletic director for tickets.
Boise State sold 4,000 tickets through its ticket office for last Saturday’s game in Las Vegas. Other fans purchased their tickets through UNLV. Friday flights were filled with Boise State fans.
The Broncos rewarded their faithful with a 48-21 victory.
“It means a lot when you hear the Boise State chant at your opponent’s stadium,” safety George Iloka said recently. “Fresno State, my sophomore year, is one of those stadiums where those fans are pretty brutal. But their fans were out of it and I heard the Boise State chant. Is this really happening in Fresno? Is there about to be a riot?”
No riot, just a lot of fun for the Boise State fans. Another victory. Another victory lap.
Another party for Bronco Nation.

In interest of full disclosure many readers know I’m a full blown Boise State homer that worships at the feet of Coach Pete, but what some of you might not know is I don’t live anywhere near Boise, but on the other side of the country in Metro Detroit. I have never seen a game on the Blue turf but as my oversized appearance in the picture above shows I have attended games on the road to include the DC V-Tech and 2010 Fiesta Bowl. I have every intention of changing that streak of nothing but road games soon. That being said I can attest to everything said about away games in the above article.
