I don’t know about you all but I’m sure not going to miss playing Air Force so I’m glad they are being pinheads about making the move. If I can make an observation after spending a few hour editing audio and video tracks, Bob Kustra is one smart man. It’s one thing to listen to someone speak and he does speak well it’s another thing to see he speech patterns while comparing them to other very talented people. While I don’t agree with his pronunciation of the word Status clearly Bob has great comprehension skills as well as verbalizing. When looking at speak levels and breaks Bob clear could read his announcement as at high volume meaning he wasn’t breaking from what he was saying every fifth word like everyone else was. Tale that for whatever it’s worth.
One more year without the Blue on Blue but clearly the Big East isn’t as sissy as the MWC is and saw no issue with the team wearing the blue at home. I think when you listen to the interview no one ask the question until they were told only two more question would be taken and when asked Kustra broke out in a huge laugh while the AD answer in no uncertain terms NO! Frankly I was wondering if anyone was going to get around to answering the question as for me it was the only one I care to have asked.
I did manage to continue listening to the local guys take calls and found even Boise has daft fools that call in.
Least be clear folks this move is a no brain the idiot move is not to take it. The move to the Big East isn’t just more money which is nice and needed, its exposure! Yes we here live and breathe Boise State football but I unlike the rest of you how little the rest of America really knows anything about our young men the school nor it’s history. Moving to the Big East will change that for a lot of people. Certainly with Syracuse Pitt and West Virginia all leaving by the time we get there is a bummer but there is still Uconn last year champ, Cinncy who almost made to the MNC 2 years ago and Louisville whom we have a debt to collect from. Add in SMU Huston as well as SDSU who is on the raise don’t kid yourself, this move will greatly improve their ability to recruit.
With our BYU commitment as well we have a date in the future with another SEC school Mississippi State, add in next year’s opener in east lansing there is plenty on the plate. Personal scheduling some late year away games in sunny Florida sure sounds a hell of lot better than cold tips to Reno to me!
I know many think next year is a rebuilding one and even more think next year isn’t even that, that we won’t know really what the future looks like until Nick Patti gets his Red Shirt out of the way. Well knows not the time to start talking about this that will be after we send our boys off to their futures and see many off to the NFL. We still have a lot of time to rejoice in the class of 2011 before we start to get know to know what’s coming behind it. After all the rest of the nation may not know what they missed in a Boise State BCS game we do, and for right now these guys are still ours!
