The Celtics were on their way to Oklahoma City but it was not a normal flight for the Celtics as there was an apparent bomb scare on the team’s charter. WBZ’s Scott Sullivan was the first to report this story as he said he talked to someone on the team plane. Officials believe that it was a hoax.
I'm hearing the #Celtics had to make an emergency landing because of a bomb threat.

No evidence of a bomb per C's spox. @celtics players now on their way to hotel. Team informed of the incident after they landed. #Fox25 2/2

The teams plane did not have to make an emergency landing and landed safely in Oklahoma City. The team also was not told during the flight as they were told right after landing when they were on the team buses to the hotel.
The FBI and local authorities are currently investigating the situation.
