Boston College Football Schedule/Breakdown 2015

College Football is a time of seeing future NFL prospects hit the gridiron and the beginning of autumn. As some enthusiastic fans say, it is the most wonderful time of the year. In the Boston area, the big school around who puts up a fight in college football is Boston College. They pulled out a upset last year over USC and were extremely close in the Florida St. game. Here is the schedule and my predictions.

Week 1- Home vs. Maine Black Bears (September 5th 2015)

This should not be a problem for BC. Maine has two linebackers who can tally up the sacks  (Cabrinni Goncalves,  Christophe Mulumba Tshimanga). Other than Maine’s reliable linebackers, BC should breeze to a confident win to start out the season.

Week 2-  Home vs. Howard Bison  (September 12th 2015)

Howard is located in Washington D.C. for you who don’t quite know where this school is. BC should once again dominate the game against Howard. (Troy Flutie Time???)

Week 3-  Home vs. Florida St Seminoles (September 18th 2015)

Newly acquired transfer from Notre Dame QB Everett Golson, will certainly make an impact and create mismatches against Addazio and the Eagles. Winston, O’Leary, Greene, Erving and several other Seminoles went to he draft but recruits fill up Tallahassee like crazy. Expect this to be down to the wire or Florida St pulls out for the win.

Week 4-  Home vs. Northern Illinois Huskies (September 26th 2015)

Jordan Lynch left Northern Illinois a few years ago and was their star player. After him, the Huskies continued their raid but against mediocre football teams (Ball St, Toledo, Western Michigan). BC should be able to cap off an impressive performance against this non- conference football team.

Week 5- Away vs. Duke Blue Devils (October 3rd 2015)

Duke was a premiere team in the ACC with speedster WR/KR Jamison Crowder who is now in the NFL (Washington Redskins). Duke has a solid offensive line and should stuff up BC’s defense but QB is a question mark now but they currently have 4 on the roster so they have lots of decisions to make as the year goes on. I could say that BC wins this game only by a few points or pulls out late in the 4th.

Week 6- Home vs. Wake Forest Demon Deacons (October 10th 2015)

Wake Forest did not do hot last year finishing out with a 3-9 record. BC has a great opportunity to show Wake Forest how they have dismantled teams throughout the season and play with integrity. Kevin Johnson, who was the Demon Deacons star corner, joins the Texans secondary in the NFL but will they recover from a huge loss?  BC takes the win.

Week 7- Away vs. Clemson Tigers (October 17th 2015)

Oh crap is all I can say. Clemson lost LB Vic Beasley to the draft (Atlanta Falcons) but they are loaded for 2015. QB’s Deshaun Watson and Cole Stoudt are projecting for great seasons. OT Mitch Hyatt who was rated #18 on the 2015 ESPN 300, is projected to be a great signing for Clemson but a great career beyond college. BC has a chance but it’s not very possible.

Week 8- Away vs. Louisville Cardinals (October 24th 2015)

The loss of WR DeVante Parker (Miami Dolphins) was a major loss for the Cardinals and for that, they may have to go to a offense focused on running more than passing. BC is capable of beating Louisville.

Week 9- Home vs. Virginia Tech (HALLOWEEN)

Virginia Tech was a mediocre team but showed an impressive defense ranking 14th in points on defense (20.2 points allowed per game). Virginia Tech is a unpredictable team who can upset you but lose to a bad or average team. BC has the advantage.

Week 10- Home vs. NC State Wolfpack (November 7th 2015)

The Wolfpack are another unpredictable team with a solid running game and a good beginning half of the 2015 schedule. What they have showed is worthy of taking notice but they cramp up when playing Top 25 teams. BC must win.

Week 11- Fenway Park vs. The Irish (November 21st 2015)

As we all know, Everett Golson is out of South Bend, Indiana but the Notre Dame football team is a good one. Malik Zaire the junior QB, is projected to lead his team with a good core receiver group to a solid amount of wins. BC will most likely lose this one.

Week 12- Away vs. Syracuse (November 28th 2015)

Syracuse is a very young team with lots of speed and agility. The Carrier Dome is an interesting place to play football and basketball for all that. Syracuse has a few dual threat QB’s who can run you all night but BC has the stronger advantage.

2015 projected record (9-3)
